franklin.gif The Franklin County Seahawks flew in on Tuesday, October 9th to take on the RMS football team.  The Bears got going from the start, scoring quickly and often, and they defeated the Seahawks 41 – 8.  The win moves the Bears record to 5-0.

The Offense was led by quarterback Jordan Montague, who was 5 of 7 passing, for 104 yards and 2 touchdowns.  The Bears running game was strong as always.  Dillon Norman rushed for 87 yards on 5 carries and a touchdown.  Demetrius Lindsey had a good night on the ground and through the air.  Demetrius scored 1 rushing touchdown, and he was on the receiving end of a 46 yard touchdown pass.  Quarterback James Douin also picked up 41 yards rushing on the night, and Quintus Wardlow picked up a rushing touchdown.  Receiver Dalton Norman also caught a 25 yard touchdown pass.

The defense once again turned in a stellar performance.  Mike Akins led all tacklers with 6 tackles.  Chase Maxwell and Luke Taylor registered a quarterback sack each.  Taylor also scored a defensive touchdown for the second game in a row.  Mikal Cromartie also intercepted a pass for the third straight game.  Linebackers Ivery Guyton and Brandon Morgan also had strong nights for the defense.  Guyton had 3 tackles and 2 assists, while Morgan recovered a Seahawks fumble.

The Bears next game is Tuesday, October 16th at home against the FAMU Rattlers at 6:00 p.m.  The Bears travel to Madison County on Thursday, October 25th.  The Madison game will be at 7:00 p.m.
