Extra Innings of Sarasota will host the first fast pitch combine in Sarasota and surrounding areas. The event will showcase female athletes locally and across the state in the eighth grade up to college and will be held at The Miss Sarasota Softball Complex ( 1133 Gun Club Rd.) on Sat Aug. 27th beginning at 8:00 AM.  Many University and Junior Colleges have indicated they will be in attendance including but not limited to:

Ken Erickson, head coach of USF and TEAM USA, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Charleston Southern, The University of Tennessee Chattanooga, Furman, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Nova Southern, Pasco Community College, South Florida Community College, State College of Florida, Stetson, Florida Gulf Coast University, and others have all verbally indicated their intent to attend.

The primary purpose is to promote the athletes and expose them to college coaches in hopes of achieving scholarship monies.  The athletes will perform various skill sets including speed and agility (SPARQ) along with individual skills related to the game of fastpitch softball. 

The combine will be sponsored by Extra Innings of Sarasota, Worth Sports and Demarini Sports with the assistance of the local community.
