WMS Wildcats Defeat Second Conference Foe

face off 250.jpg A strong fan base followed the Wakulla Middle School to North Florida Christian School in Tallahassee to cheer the Wildcats onto a 48-0 victory on Tuesday, September 4th.  The Wildcat football team began the 2nd quarter with a 20-0 lead following a touchdown by Will Thomas.  Exciting plays throughout the game include highlights such as; special teams recovering a fumble on kick-off, defensive end Nick Bowen making a tackle in the end zone on a reverse for a safety and James Brown intercepting a pass and running it back for a touchdown.

The Wildcats, currently ranked #1 in their division of the conference, had an impressive showing and had the opportunity to provide experience to their depth chart.  Their next conference match-up will be at home against Florida High on September 20th.

The Middle School Conference consists of two divisions.  The Wildcat division includes North Florida Christian, Florida High, Howard (which has recently dissolved) and Havana.  The other side of the division includes Liberty County, Wewa, Port St. Joe, Grand Ridge and Blountstown.  The Bowl Game will determine the Conference Champ and is scheduled for Thursday, October 13th.
