Thanks to Firefighters and WCSO for Response to Housefire
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the firefighters, both volunteer and paid staff, for their quick and professional response to our housefire on Tuesday evening, March 11. Their timely response kept the fire at bay, and saved our home from severe damage. We are very lucky to have such a dedicated and passionate group of firefighters here in Wakulla County. Thanks to Chief Jason Honeybone and the rest of the paid firefighters, and to the volunteers from Shell Point, Crawfordville, Wakulla Station, St. Marks, and Riversink stations. Thanks also to the Panacea Station for being ready and willing to come help out if needed. You guys rock!
Also, thanks to Wakulla County Sheriff's Officers, including Deputy Sean Wheeler, Sergeant Mike Kemp, and Det. Vicki Mitchell for being on the scene and keeping us all calm. A special thanks to Sgt. Kemp for his thoughtfulness regarding the kid's kitten. And thanks to all our friends and neighbors who came over to check on things and offer a helping hand, and to those friends who have opened their homes to us during reconstruction.
We appreciate you all.
