Let Common Sense Prevail

Let Common Sense Prevail

Since we are coming into the "political season" I would encourage factual and informational letters, not ones which are demeaning not only to a candidate, but to the writer as well.

After reading letters to the Editor which contain questionable facts and negative remarks, I would encourage Wakulla.com and writers who submit a letter to use common sense. It is simple to lay out an "opinion" and much harder to lay out the facts. Not to mention any recent writers by name, just to point out that writing unsubstantiated, negative comments only strengthens a candidate's viability for anyone who might explore facts further.

Let's work to make 2008 a factual, honest campaign and leave the mud-slinging to the ill-informed and rumormongers.  There are many of us who would like to hear all sides and learn about candidates through honest exchanges and forums that are open and honest.
