Diabetes Support Group will Meet at Wakulla County Health Department
The Wakulla County Health Department
(WCHD) is offering the citizens of Wakulla County an opportunity to
participate in a new Diabetes Support Group. All individuals and their
significant others who are dealing with diabetes are invited to attend
the next session. Meetings will be held on the 4th Thursday of each
month and are also advertised on the WCHD website:
www.wakullahealth.com . The date of the next meeting is Thursday,
January 24th from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm.
Diabetes can be
prevented and controlled. In 2005, 53.3% of Florida adults diagnosed
with diabetes had not ever taken a course or class in how to manage
their diabetes. Do not let yourself or a loved one be a part of this
statistic. Come and learn from others as we all learn to cope with the
disease and the stressors we face trying to control diabetes. Learn
how to live a normal life with diabetes.

topics, new speakers and new material – come see for yourself! For
