Crawfordville Lion's Club will Host 3rd Annual St. Patrick's Day Festival
The Third Annual St. Patrick Day Parade and Festival sponsored by the Crawfordville Lion’s Club will be held Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Hudson Park rain or shine from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
The parade lineup will start promptly at 9:00 a.m. on Azalea Drive, across from Ace Hardware on the west side of U. S. 319, with the parade beginning at 10:00 a.m. sharp.
A group of celebrity judges will award prizes in the amount of $100, $50 and $25 for the best of parade participants. Individuals or groups interested in participating in the parade should contact Gary Scott at 850.926.2673 or by email at packman@netscape.com.
{sidebar id=1}The St. Patrick’s Day festival will follow immediately with arts and crafts, food and carnival rides for children and the young at heart. Music, dance and drama will be performed on the main stage. Some of the featured acts include the C.O.A.S.T Charter School’s Irish Dancers, Wakulla Springs Baptist Church’s dance troup, Total Impact, as well as the headline act of Wakulla County’s very own Trafton Harvey.
Individuals or groups interested in securing booth space for food, arts and crafts or community/non-profit exhibits should contact Henry “Buddy” Wells at 850.926.3473.
Deadline for securing booth or parade space is 12 Noon, Wednesday, March 12, 2008.

In addition to all the fun and festivities, the Crawfordville Lion’s Club is holding a raffle drawing for a $500.00 cash prize sponsored by Ameris Bank. The drawing will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Hudson Park; however, you do not need to be present to win!
Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 202 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world. Known for working to end preventable blindness, Lions participate in a vast variety of projects important to their communities. These projects range from cleaning up local parks to providing supplies to victims of natural disasters. The Crawfordville Lion’s club has been instrumental in assisting the less fortunate in procuring glasses, hearing aids and guide dogs. They participate in a variety of other community projects such as road cleaning.
