Alligator Pays Visit to the Dyal Family
The Dyal family of Panacea got a surprise when an alligator took up residence in the ditch in front of their yard. According to Diane Dyal, "My husband, Andy, found the alligator in the ditch that runs parallel to the street in our front yard; he called him “Al the Alligator”. The next day I called “911” and right afterwards FWC called me back and asked if the alligator had hurt anyone. I said 'no' and he said he would take care of it."
"The next morning the “alligator nuisance program” called me and asked if the alligator was under my car or in my carport. I said no, but they asked directions and said someone would be out as soon as possible. So, when I was getting my trash picked up, a couple of guys from the neighborhood saw “Al” and tried to catch him. I told them the alligator nuisance people were coming and told them not to catch him, but they were very persistant. One guy finally caught him and said he would get rid of the alligator. I then called alligator nuisance and canceled my call."
