We are the SOLUTION—of Water

Look at your hand again and explain who made it.  Look in a mirror explain what you are.  We travel our lives creating and inventing, never understanding how we ourselves really began.

The biggest wonders are often taken for granted, life is still not recreatable through our seemingly advanced sciences, but it exists in great diversity with prosperity and popularity.

Look at your hand and realize it is water, 80% water, your body 80% water, and the earth's surface 80% water.  The basic element of all things of life and tied to life, but do we really notice or understand that simple seemingly endless stream of water?

Water is the longest and most powerful word in the universe, you have too think beyond the material world to realize this and its implications.  Once you do you will prosper and do good work.  Once you see the value of water, not gold, silver or platinum, you will understand infinity, why your hand and body exists and who you really are.  This is not lighthearted stuff; it is the fabric of the universe and the seat and pivot of your soul.  Many will not make this trip of understanding in this lifetime, but as the water of their lives disappears they will come closer to life's unstoppable force.

If we take the time to understand water all religions will melt into one and peace will forever rule the earth.  This is not an arguable event; it is fact and it is fact everywhere.  Five hundred million light years away and from the point of your thought.

Water rules everything that is alive.  This simple odorless, tasteless, clear substance is the most available commodity on the planet.  Ninety-seven percent is salty, 1% drinkable and the rest locked up in polar ice.  It is soft and supple but created the Grand Canyon and has turned many a mountain to piles of small grains of sand.  Power is not in its nature or desire but it exists in water infinitely.

Thousands of years ago an eastern fellow put together a little book to assist others in finding the way to the way.  It was a little guidebook on life.  It is the Tao Te Ching or The Book of the Way.

Water has many insights given in this short book of 81 pages.  Water always leads the way by its way of doing its business naturally.  Water always finds level ground, the lowest point and peace in the end of its travels.

We could use water as Lao-tzu does in his short book and live in a very peaceful and harmonic world.

But we haven't noticed yet - Lao-tzus book was written as he was leaving his own city, as it was being destroyed.  He hoped to help others see the way.  Water and its way was a large part of the way.

This awoke me to the power of water.

Water is the only substance that is at room temperature naturally a gas, liquid or solid.  Suck on an ice cube as you drink your cold water looking at the clouds and quickly get all three.

Clear clean water brings life and dirty polluted water death.  Squeeze anything alive and water will come out, life and water are one and life without water does not exist.  The 80% rule is almost everywhere; living things are almost always 80% water.  Pick one.  Jellyfish are often referred to as living water because 99% of their makeup is H2O.

One could almost see water as the largest living and interconnected thing on our planet given the fact that it is not ever created; it is just recycled millions of times over.  Our drinking water was the dinosaurs', too.

We can have life, not human life, without oxygen or carbon dioxide.  Almost any other single item can be removed and some life forms will be  extinguished, but not all forms.  But remove water and all life forms are vanished.

Biologists and philosophers have wrapped words and science around water since the beginnings of consciousness  but words and science have no power over water.  Water is the divine, the force, and the substance of life and in the end it may be realized as life itself.

As we move our lives forward and water flows naturally to the seas, look around you and realize that the snow under your feet is going to the sea, the pollutions, the leaking auto oil and bio-waste is heading downslope.  Under your feet water is also moving towards the sea in tunnels and through the sands and rocks, being purified again and then transpired in the heat of the afternoon to become the rain that purifies the air.

Think of the large summer trees that you lay under to hide from the sun and heat.  Sometimes the leaves open up and sprinkle that gentile spray on your face as they pump thousands of gallons of water back into the air cooling their leaves, the air and circulating the nutrients for growth.  Think of that shower you take in the morning and the pleasure of water washing the pollutants and wastes off of you as you prepare for the new day.

Think of all the plants and animals that have never thought about water, will never think about water and that will always depend on it for life.  Look at your hand remember 80% of it is water and if you were wise 80% of your thoughts would be about understanding it and protecting it.  All the other plants and animals just get to go with the flow.

We are a water based lifeform on a water based planet.  There is no such thing as a day without water if you want life in the mix.

Life, it is thought, began in the seas 10 billion year ago or so and stayed wet and simple in design and function till the last few hundred million years --- think of the fish, mostly water, swimming, or of fish floating their lives away in the amniotic fluids that represent time itself.  To them water is life.  Imagine that zero gravity ecosystem, a watery world with all your needs from the beginning of time to today.  Think big incubator.

The 400 million year old horseshoe crab who passively rules the sea as its janitor has blood that is copper based, not iron like ours.  He has been watching us play in the surf  with his six eyes since we were on all fours and focused on nothing but food and sex.  He has not changed since the time before time; space creatures would find it difficult to be odder in biology or looks.  We can thank the sea for its diversity of creative powers.

For us water carries our wastes through our digestive system back to the earth.  The iron in our blood is the yellow of our urine.  Iron is redish in nature and yellow when diluted in water.  So if the horseshoe crab's blood is green from the copper, what color is its urine?  Tough question?

So now we bottle water and charge for it -- -we ship it around the country -- people from Miami drink water from Colorado and people from Colorado drink water  from Miami.  Are we drinking more water or just putting value on it by bottling it and drinking less from our own taps in our own homes?

However we look at our water consumption habit it is a recycling program on the grandest of  scales.  The problem is too little water to recycle correctly, or maybe it is too much use and too many people --you decide, an even tougher question.

In the end bottled water may be the first icon for the true value of clean water.  Look at your hand and think about flushing toilets, turning faucets, and opening bottles.  

Or just maybe, maybe, it not us that use all the water.  It's the stuff we need or think we need to live this marvelous life, this material life that demands water as the main in-greed-ient and solution for the chemical processes that make the food and materials we must, must have.

Humankind is funny.  If you want them to change they have to figure it out for themselves.  Telling a fellow human what to do is like talking to a mirror.  We do, they follow.  We do better, they do better.  It is a team issue.  Now you finish the puzzle so it fits your expectations and outcomes.   Smoking, drug use, auto use, water use, same stuff.

Just water for thought.  Lick your lips, touch someone you love with your hand, swallow, and think of swimming in the sea.
