The Wakulla County Senior Center is located at 33 Michael Drive in Crawfordville, Florida.  The center is open to seniors age 60 and over from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Most activities begin around 10:00 am.  We offer a variety of things to do during the day and our monthly calendar can be found on the senior pages, also.  We offer ceramics, art classes, music, exercise, line dancing, cards, beginning computer, diabetes support group, attorney services, shopping, respite day center and many other educational opportunities.

We at the center are always looking for new ideas to present to our clients, and volunteers are always needed.  Our OAA (Older Americans Act) program, which is a federally funded program, provides for the services here at the center.  Our delicious home-cooked meals are served to 900 seniors a month.  We deliver 2000 meals a month to homebound seniors in Wakulla County.  Our CCE (Community Care for the Elderly) program is a state funded program that provides services to seniors who are at risk for a nursing home.   Medicaid Waiver provides services to at risk seniors who must meet Medicaid Home and Community Based Services guidelines.  The ADI (Alzheimer Disease Initiative) provides services to those seniors who are suffering from memory disorders.   HCE (Home Care for the Elderly) program provides care in family-type living arrangements as an alternative to nursing home care.  The Wakulla County Senior Citizens Council, Inc. sponsors a Before & After School Program at all three elementary schools, as well as a summer program at Crawfordville Elementary only.  Wakulla Transportation provides services to all residents of Wakulla County, including daily and weekly fixed-route between Wakulla and Leon Counties.
