Senior citizens in Wakulla County enjoyed a day of pampering this past Thursday, February 9, at a Glamour Shots photo shoot at the Senior Citizens Center in Crawfordville.  At least 50 seniors participated in the event, which included having their make-up done, accessorizing themselves with jewelry, hats, scarves and boas, and finally sitting for their photo.


Stephanie Watson was there to help with jewelry, hats and other accessories, and Mary Nichols provided make-up expertise.  Joann Strickland assisted with boas and scarves, and helped pose the participants for their photos.  Mary Katherine Westrmark provided photography services for the event.

According to Diane Lanter of the Senior Citizens Center, "Everyone who participated seemed to have a wonderful time.  I was thrilled that so many seniors had their photos taken.  It was such a fun day."  Lanter says she plans to hold the event again sometime in the fall of 2006. and hopes that even more seniors will come and have their photos taken.  If you are interested in finding out more about the next Glamour Shots event, contact Diane Lanter at the Senior Citizens Center at (850)926-7145.
