Teachers and Students: Please Take a Moment to Complete Type 2 Diabetes Survey

type-2-diabetes-imageLast month, BSCS (Biological Sciences Curriculum Study) sent out an announcement asking K-12 teachers and students to complete an online survey about type 2 diabetes. Because this is a very busy time of year, we want to extend the opportunity for you to complete the survey.

The information that we collect from this survey will help guide us as we begin development of seven inquiry-based curriculum supplements for grades K through 12. What would make the materials more useful for you as a classroom teacher?  What do students and teachers currently think about diabetes?  What programs are currently available and being used in your school?  These short online surveys will help us gather information.  These surveys should take less than 15 minutes and do not require any preparation.  In fact, we don't want you to prepare—it is more helpful if you respond using just what you currently know or think.  The surveys are anonymous.  We are not asking for any information that will identify you as an individual.

Please click on the appropriate link below to begin the survey.  If you have your students respond to the surveys, you might want to review the information on the first screen with them before they begin answering questions.

Teachers of Grades K-6
Teachers of Grades 7-8
Teachers of Grades 9-12

Students in Grades 3-6
Students in Grades 7-8
Students in Grades 9-12

Thank you for sharing your input and your time. Please submit your survey responses by 4 February 2011. We will thoughtfully review all responses and use the information to develop the most effective curriculum materials that we can.
