Sopchoppy 4th of July Festival to be Held

Sopchoppy 4th of July Celebration 2006
  will be Patriotic Extravaganza!

kids in wagon 225 The 2006 Sopchoppy 4th of July Celebration will be held Tuesday, July 4th, at Myron B. Hodge City Park in Sopchoppy, Florida.  This annual celebration is always lots of fun, with all sorts of events scheduled for the entire family.  Come out and join the folks in Sopchoppy for a 4th of July you'll never forget! 

The day will begin with the parade at 11:00 a.m. in downtown Sopchoppy.  The park will open to the public at 12:00 noon with the presentation of the flag by the VFW, followed by the singing of the Star Spangled Banner.  City and County officials will be introduced, as well as Celebration staff and volunteers.

There will be a large selection of arts and crafts booths to visit, as well as many different food booths to tempt the taste buds!  A variety of musical entertainment will be offered throughout the day from 12:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., wtih the schedule as follows:

 
12:30 - 1:30     Pink Shoelaces

1:45 - 2:45    Allen & Linda Terrell and the Country Drifters

3:00 - 4:00    Gospel Music - SSBC Men’s Quartet
                        Randy and Keith Anderson, Maurice Langston and Jerry Evans

4:00 - 5:00    Kids Karaoke -1st and 2nd Prize awarded;
                       all entries will receive consolation prize

5:00- 6:00    Adult Karaoke
                       1st Prize $300.00, 2nd Prize, $150.00; 3rd Prize $50.00

6:15 - 7:30    Bluegrass

7:30 - 7:45    Karaoke Winners will each perform one song

8:00 - 9:30    Wayne’s World (Rock n' Roll; 50's and 60's)

9:30                Fireworks
