I think I saw the first Christmas decorations in the stores! It’s that time again. Time to get the memories of the hurricanes behind us and time to put aside our differences. And it’s time for you to make arrangements to join us on Saturday, December 3rd for a Wakulla County tradition, Christmas in Sopchoppy. In this era of budget breaking stops at the gas pump shopping close to home is important. And this one-day event in the streets of historic downtown Sopchoppy, Florida, offers a great opportunity for folks to purchase your goods for Christmas gifts. And Santa will be in the house to get them in the mood!
The hours for booths are from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM although some may not choose to open at that early hour or stay until the very end. The fee for our 12’ by 12’ booths is $10 for arts and crafts and $25 for food and concession vendors or anyone needing electric or water hookup. Educational and Public Service booths not raising money are free. Fees are used to pay expenses for the event such as newspaper ads and signs. If you sign up early it will help us plan and we will give you special consideration for your booth location.
We will control food and concession vendors to avoid having too many selling the same products so if you are a food or concession vendor return your application as early as possible. In addition, you should be aware that state inspectors carefully checked all food booths for proper licenses and health and safety requirements at our last Worm Gruntin’ Festival.
If you would like to join us, please complete the enclosed registration form and mail with your check made payable to the Sopchoppy Preservation and Improvement Association or simply SPIA to:
