Panacea Blue Crab Festival Parade

Woolley Park in Panacea was the place to be this past Saturday, May 6, 2006, as a large crowd turned out under beautiful blue skies for the 32nd Annual Panacea Blue Crab Festival.  The festival officially kicked off with the parade through downtown Panacea on Coastal Highway 98.  This year's event seemed larger than past years, with many local businesses, elected officials, dance troupes, several churches, the Wakulla High Marching Band, and emergency vehicles all participating.  Children quickly filled bags with candy and beads as the floats and other parade entries made their way towards Woolley Park.  This year's first place honors went to the Panacea Moose Lodge, while second place went to Ben Withers, Inc.
