Help Needed to Save Old Ross and Amy Linzy Home Saturday, June 21
Some of you are well aware of what we're trying to do in the way of saving some of our old homes to be placed on county park land for a "Heritage Park" one day in the future. We want Wakulla Countians to know what's going on this coming Saturday, June 21. Jim Calhoun, a builder with experience and a love for the old homes, has planned and will be directing the efforts on Saturday, June 21, to dismantle the smaller Linzy house and load it onto his trucks to take to his land (very near the new school) so he can rebuild and restore the house to allow it to last and be moved at a later date to the park.
We are excited to have efforts made to save these old homes, and we invite all of you to come out, work, (if you're able) or just enjoy being a part of a community effort. Park over at Wal-Mart. If you have carpentry skills, bring your hammer and crowbar and gloves. Jim can use some help. If you're strong, bring your gloves and help load boards. We will have free lunch for workers. We will be glad to see you!
