'A Walk in the Park' Special Needs Spring Prom 2010 is May 1
The friends and families of Wakulla Springs Baptist Church along with assistance from local businesses are excited to have the privilege of hosting the 2nd annual Special Needs Spring Prom on Saturday, May 1, 2010. Students with special needs from 7th grade through previously graduated, along with a guest, the student’s family, teachers, and volunteers who work with the students are invited to join us for another sensational evening, this time for ‘A Walk in the Park’, Prom 2010. With the doors opening at 7:00pm, the evening will include dinner, dancing, fun and fellowship as we celebrate the beauty of God’s touch in each of these precious young people as well as in the world around us. Reservations prior to 6:00pm on Wednesday, April 28th are requested.
Thank you to the folks in the community who have been graciously donating many beautiful gowns, shoes, and dress clothes for this event. The students will have an opportunity to come by and select from an array of semi-formal to formal attire as we draw closer to this wonderful evening. If you would be interested in contributing dress clothes for this cause, such generosity would be much appreciated.
We are also grateful to those who helped keep our costs down last year by teaming with us in pulling our resources together to make the evening a great success! Desiring for this to be an evening at no cost to the participants and their families, we once again extend an invitation to local businesses as well as to individuals who would like to contribute to the production of this year’s event by becoming a sponsor. By either donating items, services, or offering monetary support, you and/or your business would have a large part in allowing this special night to come together for these terrific kids!
For more information, reservations, volunteering, contributions, and/or sponsorship opportunities - both business and personal - you can contact the church office at (850) 926-5152 or the event coordinator, Sandi DeRoss, at (850) 545-8262 or email@example.com.
