136th Annual Session of the Old West Florida Primitive Baptist Association Held on October 11, 2005

Old West Florida Primitive Baptist Central Meeting Facility Finally a Reality

The 136th Annual Session of the Old West Florida Primitive Baptist Association was a blessed moment for all who attended.  After more than twenty years of hard labor, the vision of the late Elder Sam Mann, Elder Wilson, and so many others became a reality Tuesday, October 11, 2005.  Elder Mann’s vision was for the Old West Florida Primitive Baptist thirty-six churches located in Leon, Wakulla, Gadsden, and Gulf Counties to have a central meeting place to come together to lift up the name of Jesus Christ.  Under the current leadership of Moderator Clinton Smith, pastor of Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church located in Tallahassee, and Vice-Moderator Harry Cloud, pastor of St. Stephens Primitive Baptist Church in Gretna, Florida.

Pleasant Primitive Baptist, where Elder Louis Anderson is the Pastor, was crowned as queen of the Old West Florida Primitive Baptist Association for the year 2005-2006.
