Butterfield's Roadhouse

118 Municipal Avenue
Sopchoppy, Florida

exterior shop 250.gifButterfield’s Roadhouse is an old fashioned down to earth music venue for local and national artists, a special venue for  traveling artists and performers, special events and jams.

Salli and Gabriel are currently featuring and introducing “The Paul Butterfield Fund and Society” and exhibits that will be rotating artifacts and continually growing.

Beginning in January they will be holding Blues Jams every second and fourth Thursday of the month and Acoustic Jams every second and fourth Friday of each month.

Gabriel Butterfield, despite holding his father’s famed name, has achieved his own musical accomplishments and is continually involved with varied music endeavors and projects and has helped orchestrate many benefits for some great causes.

band area 300.gifStarted in 1993, the Gabriel Butterfield Sunday Night Woodstock Blues Jam at The Joyous Lake in Woodstock, NY became an immediate success and was rapidly known as one of the largest hot spot events in the area.  Woodstock was known for its many recording studios which brought in a vast amount of name performers who soon sought out Gabriel's Blues Jam, likewise luring the extensive collective talent pool and esteemed local  Woodstock musicians.

It is Gabriel and Salli’s hope that area musicians will come and visit and join them in their effort, helping to create a similar Jam session for the area.

The PBFS Educational Archival Exhibit was unveiled as part of a three day multi-media extravaganza on Dec 17th, 2004 at the Key West Hard Rock Cafe on Paul's birthday -- a day when radio stations nationwide joined in memory of Paul and support of PBFS, by playing Paul Butterfield’s music throughout the day.

This collection continues to grow & they hope to have it on the road at various special events in the very near future.  A segment of the exhibit is permanently displayed at Butterfield’s Roadhouse.

Their Own Music Projects/Freelance Drummer

Gabriel is currently working towards a music project which will be incorporating some members of his father’s band, as well as upcoming musicians and a line up of quite a few stellar performers.

Additionally Gabriel (pictured above on drums), an east and west coast performer, is a freelance drummer and singer and often engaged in a variety of musical activities.  They will be laying tracks and doing recordings with a variety of stellar performers as well as some members of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band.

Salli and Gabriel are open to ideas and if folks have a special event or idea, please talk with them about the possibility of having Butterfield's Roadhouse host it their event.  The space is a 30 x 30 foot area with 12 foot high ceilings with a very warm ambience.
