Grandma Pearce's Pecan Pie
{sidebar id=3}3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup (light or dark, your preference)
1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
1 cup pecan halves
1 unbaked pie crust*
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat eggs slightly in 2 quart bowl. Stir in sugar, corn syrup, and melted butter. Stir in pecans. Pour into crust. Bake near center of oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until filling is lightly firm. Center of pie may look soft when pie is gently shaken, but will become firm when cool. If crust is browning too quickly, cover edges with tinfoil.
* If you use the frozen pie crusts, this recipe makes 2 pies.
