Swiftwater Returns for Opry Encore
The Sopchoppy Opry is just one show in to the New Year and already records are being shattered! More and more Opry fans are buying season tickets now to make sure their seats are reserved for every show and many folks new to this great show place of country music are coming in to enjoy it! And the exceptional line up of talent scheduled by the Opry’s Founder and General Manager, Mac McWaters for this season is certain to make this year the best ever! Just look who South Bound’s guests will be for the February 28-7 pm show in historic Sopchoppy High School Auditorium! It’s Swiftwater, Suzie Elkins along with Ken and Teresa Skipper! “Swiftwater has been at the top of the invitation list ever since the band debuted on the Opry in June 2008”, says Mac. “The fans have requested an encore performance and it is truly a pleasure for us to welcome them back to the Opry stage! Their performance is filled with a good mix of classic country, bluegrass and Gospel music with a sprinkling of humor that is sure to please every fan,” Mac continues. “Al and Wretha Webb are excellent musicians and possess a wonderful vocal harmony that when joined with the instrumental/vocal talents of Amy and Joan Alderman and Ruth Hagy, produces music most pleasing to the ear!”. Joining Swiftwater and performing the first set with South Bound Band is Tallahassee’s ‘Sweetheart of Country’ Ms. Suzie Elkins! Suzie is a regular guest and will be the ‘on stage’ host for this show. She is a favorite of Opry fans and her rendition of country’s classic tunes are always a special treat.
Along with Suzie and South Bound, is the dynamic husband/wife duo Ken and Teresa Skipper! Ken and Teresa performed at the Opry several years ago and continue to sing at churches and other venues around the Big Bend.

And if you want to eat before the show, come early and enjoy an entrée, BBQ sandwich, Hotdog , and some world class homemade desserts in the Opry Concession. The box office and concession opens at 5:30 pm on show date.
