The Relay for Life events at Wakulla High are kicking into high gear with a fabulous performance showcasing some of the very best local talent at this year’s “Performing for the Cure Variety Show”. The event will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at the Wakulla High School Auditorium. The evening promises to be one of the highlights of the season. Local professional musicians will be performing with some talented WHS Alumni and joining them will be a special few current Wakulla High favorites.
The multi-talented Jerry Evans will be playing piano with Saxophone great Sammy Tedder and the brilliant Glenn Bostic. Songwriter and guitarist Frank Graham will share his unique talents. Rick Ott and Friends will bring an eclectic mix of local musicians to the stage to entertain the crowd. Wakulla High alumni and 2006 Miss Wakulla, Brooke Brown will be one of our featured vocalists along with recent graduates Woody Harvey and Marshall Taylor who will sing and play guitar for you. Current favorite Michael Brown will perform the most amazing dance routine you have ever seen. He will be joined by the always unique and beautiful styling of Christina Brydebell and David Starling. The lovely Ashlyn Tobell will show you why she is considered to be one of the very best vocalists to have ever graced the stage at WHS, and finally the young and upcoming brother and sister act: Julian and Shannon Egler of “Pink Shoelaces” will round out the evening.
All proceeds from this event will go towards the Fight Against Cancer. The doors will open at 6:30 P.M. and tickets will be $3.00 for Students and $5.00 for Adults.
