William Fred Bailey, age 69 went to be with our Lord, on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, following a long illness.

Fred was born in Goodwater, Alabama and retired following 30 years of service with the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Department.  He is survived by his wife Barbara Bailey of Marianna; children:  Sharon Wisham (Steve) of Crawfordville; Martha Bailey of Tallahassee; Angela Bailey of Crawfordville; Mark Davis of Cullman, Alabama and Melanie Lynch (Les) of Crawfordville; 15 grand children and 3.5 great grand children; 3 sisters:  Mary Skelton, Patricia Barnett of Alabama and Clara Bailey of Crawfordville; 2 brothers:  Jimmy Bailey and Johnny Bailey of Alabama; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family asks in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the American Cancer Society.

Services will be held at Friendship Baptist Church in Medart, Florida on Friday, July 13, 2012, at 2:00p.m.
