In Memory of Tommie Mae Green
Tommie Mae Green, 72, of Sopchoppy, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 in Sopchoppy. She worked in Proof and Research for the Banking Industry.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2008 at Sopchoppy Southern Baptist Church in Sopchoppy with burial following at West Sopchoppy Cemetery in Sopchoppy. The viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Harvey-Young Funeral Home in Crawfordville, Florida (850-926-3333).
Tommie Mae Porter Green, 72, of Sopchoppy, left the confines of her earthly body and claimed the victory promised by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She has been reunited with her husband Emory Green, grandson Matthew Strubble, and sister Tewana Posey, who all left before her to prepare the garden where she will now reside in Glory.
Tommie Mae was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, caring sister and a friend to all who knew her. She lived her life like her beloved Sopchoppy River. Love flowed from her, like water does in the river, touching and nurturing everyone and everything around her.

She is survived by three daughters: Kathy Strubble (and husband Butch) and Christie Holland of Tallahassee, and Suzanne Stoutamire (and husband Scott) of Blue Creek; five grandchildren: David Strubble, Rael Young, Laura Buen, Chris Parker, and Zach Stoutamire; six great-grandchildren: Brandon, Madison, Melanie, Cole, Alexis and Maelee; three brothers: Thomas Porter, Jr., Wesley Smith, and Coney Smith; and one sister: Annette Strickland.
