In Memory of Raymond R. Nichols
Raymond R. Nichols, 85, of Panacea, Florida passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2008 in Panacea, Florida. The service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Bonnett Pond Cemetery in Medart, Florida with burial following at Bonnet Pond Cemetery in Medart, Florida. The viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Harvey-Young Funeral Home in Crawfordville, Florida (850-926-3333).
Raymond R. Nichols was a native of Wakulla County, and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in WWII. He loved mullet fishing and enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by four daughters: Bessie Marie Oakes and husband Tommy of Crawfordville, Janet Spears and husband Marshall of Medart, Lila Strickland and husband Johnny of Orange Park, and Carolyn Wright and husband Gary of Sopchoppy; three grandchildren: Richard Oaks and wife Misty of Tampa, Delilah Strickland of High Springs, and Angie Mercer and husband Frank of Medart; three great-grandchildren: Emma and Maggie Oaks and Morgan Keith Mercer; two sisters: Ruby Taylor of Panacea and Doris Sanders of Sopchoppy.
He was preceded in death by his wife Bessie and grandson Keith Spears.
