In Memory of Ott Carraway
Ott Carraway, 68, passed away September 14, 2008 in Crawfordville, Florida. He retired from the Department of Education.
The service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Crawfordville United Methodist Church, with burial at West Sopchoppy Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Crawfordville United Methodist Church.
Contributions can be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.
Ott Carraway was born in Sopchoppy, Florida and was a lifelong resident of Wakulla County.
He was a member of Crawfordville United Methodist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved golf and working in his garden. He loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by two sons: Cecil Ott Carraway, Jr. and Blake Carraway, both of Crawfordville; three daughters: Shelia Stephens and husband Bill, Brenda Hutto and husband Danny, Megan Carraway London and husband Ed, all of Crawfordville; four brothers: Ausley Burl Carraway, Jr. and wife Ann of Seneca, South Carolina; George Warrington Carraway and wife Jill of Louisville, Kentucky, Joseph David Carraway and wife Charlie, Brad Forbes Carraway and wife Sharon, all of Sopchoppy; six sisters: Frances Carraway Roberts and husband Randolph, Bettye Carraway Roberts and husband Edwin, all of Tallahassee, Jessie Carraway McMillan of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Sandra Carraway Crum and husband Bobby of Mexico Beach, Florida, Carolyn Carraway Sulter and husband Galen of Montgomery, Alabama, Susan Carraway Limbaugh and husband Gary of Crawfordville; four grandchildren: Sarah Elizabeth Stephens, Keith Daniel Stephens, Dannie Coker Hutto, and Andi Faye Hutto. He is survived by over 100 nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Ausley Burl Carraway and Faye Forbes Carraway.
