In Memory of Kathleen Alice Porterfield Causey

Kathleen Alice Porterfield Causey, 87, of St. Marks, Florida passed away on Friday, March 7, 2008 in St. Marks, Florida.  She was retired from the U.S. Post Office as Postmaster in St. Marks and Carrabelle.  The service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at St. Marks Baptist Church in St. Marks, Florida wth burial following at St. Marks Cemetery in St. Marks, Florida.  The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service on Tuesday, March 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Marks Baptist Church.  Harvey-Young Funeral Home in Crawfordville, Florida (850-926-3333) is handling the arrangements.

Kathleen Alice Porterfield Causey was a member of St. Marks Baptist Church, where she taught adult Sunday School classes for 44 years.

She is survived by one son:  Scott Causey of Bainbridge, Georgia; two daughters:  Cathy Taylor (and husband Mel) of Woodville, Florida, and Loretta Garverick (and husband Jim) of Galton, Ohio; one sister:  Lou Eaton of Moultrie, Georgia; three grandchildren:  Christopher Garverick, Amanda Edens (and husband Wayne), and Justin Causey (and wife Stacie); one great-grandson:  Weston Wayne Edens; and a host of Christian friends.

She is predeceased by her parents Buford and Ora Porterfield; her ex-husband, Cleo C. Causey of Moultrie, Georgia; a brother, Bud Porterfield; and a sister, Willie Eaton.
