Harley “Jerry” Jerome Gilbert, 58, of Crawfordville, Florida passed away Monday, August 16, 2010.
Jerry was born on April 12, 1952 in Mississippi to parents, Willie Ina Gilbert and Harley William Gilbert.
Jerry grew up and lived in Tallahassee, Florida and Crawfordville, Florida and was a graduate of Rickards High School.
Jerry was a Certified Charter Boat Captain and an avid outdoor enthusiast. His passions included scuba diving, fishing, artifact collection and exploring local history.
A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bevis Funeral Home, Harvey-Young Chapel in Crawfordville.
He is survived by his daughter, Suzie Harlamor (Alex), and two sons, Chris Gilbert (Michelle) and David Pritchett (Mitsy). Five grandchildren: Katherine, Mitchell, David, Drew and Ashley. Sister, Anita Brown; niece, Nina and great-niece, Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jerry will be cremated and his remains will be brought to his beloved Gulf and River locations by his family and close friends. A “Celebration of Jerry’s Life” will be held at a later date.
