In Memory of Etta Mae Council Pelt
Etta Mae Council Pelt, 90, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 23, 2008, surrounded by her family.
She was born on July 7, 1918 in Crawfordville and lived there all of her life. She was a loving, devoted wife, Mother and Grandmother. She loved to go to church, picking and grinning at the Senior Center, work in her garden and go fishing.
In WWII she trained at Lively to work on sheet metal and was a "Rosie the Riveter" working on planes in Orlando.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, Florida 32308.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at River of Life Church with burial at Pelt Cemetery. Harvey-Young Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements (850-933-3333).
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 25, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at River of Life Church.
She is survived by one son: Willie Pelt (and wife Janis); four daughters: Etta Jo Oliver (and husband Ralph), Vera Wirick, Brenda McCarthy (and husband Gene) and Carmen Sapp (and husband Broward). She has 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son Berlin Pelt, her husband Carmel Pelt and her sister Debra Council Pelt.
