Arthur L. Peltier, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, January 28, 2009.
Art was born on Christmas Day 1937 to Fred and Bertha, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959 in Japan. He has resided in Tallahassee since 1960. Art was retired from the State of Florida. He was very proud of his six grandchildren, loving wife Claudette, and sons Chuck and Kenny. He was an avid golfer having accomplished a hole in one twice during his lifetime.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the Christian Life Fellowship, 3608 Centerville Road, Tallahassee, Florida.
Survivors include his wife Claudette Taylor Peltier, son Chuck and wife Tammy of Crawfordville, and son Kenny of Tallahassee. Grandchildren Austin, Chelsea, Charlie, Chase, Chad and Kylie. Stepson Rob Taylor and wife Darlene and family, and brothers Bob (and wife June) and Frank (and wife Barbara) of Providence, Rhode Island.
