Meeting for British Isles Trip Participants Scheduled for Feb. 28
A meeting for participants signed up for the British Isles Trip or anyone interested in signing up for the British Isles Trip has been scheduled. The meeting will be on Thursday, February 28 at 6:00 PM at Ochlockonee Bay Realty which is located next to Sonic in Crawfordville. There is still space available for people to sign up, but the deadline is approaching soon. The Science teachers who are planning the trip are still registering participants for the 17 day trip to the British Isles in June 2008. The deadline to sign up is March 2, as that is the final payment deadline for the trip to be paid in full, as the airline and hotel reservations will be secured at that time.
This exciting excursion will take participants to England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. It will include a visit to Stonehenge and Loch Ness, tours of the Ring of Kerry, Edinburgh, Stratford, York and London, including Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, a visit to the Highlands and much, much more.
Students and their parents, grandparents and siblings are welcome to join us, as well as people with ties to a school or educational institution. To view more information or to enroll, go to: www.eftours.com Select the students/parents tab and select to either “View your teacher’s tour” or “Enroll in your teacher’s tour.” Type in tour number 870986 and follow the instructions. The cost is approximately $3415 for students up to age 23 and approximately $3900 for adults. This price includes airfare, ground transportation, hotels, 2 meals daily, 4 sightseeing tours led by licensed local guides, 4 sightseeing tours led by the EF Tours Tour director, 2 EF walking tours, and 14 visits to special attractions. Costs not included are passport costs (if you don’t already have one), lunch and spending money for souvenirs. There is also an optional extension to Paris for an additional charge if 6 or more people are interested. For more information, contact Suzanne Camp (camps@embarqmail.com), home 926-1550 or cell 251-9620 (after 3 PM), Bob Wallace (rdwallace1@comcast.net) at 228-1841 or Bob Blanton (bcet4fsu@aol.com) or 345-7260.
The teachers planning this trip took students to Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein this past summer and to Australia and New Zealand the summer before. All three have extensive travel experience and would love to have you join them.
