Volunteers Needed to Serve on Wakulla County Airport Committee

The Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners is seeking two (2) members to volunteer to serve on the Airport Committee.
The purpose of this Committee is to fulfill the various airport functions through a group of citizen volunteers with direct oversight by the County. These functions primarily include overseeing Airport administration, improvement, and operations, including, but not limited to, the areas of Airport safety, strategic planning, applying for grants, implementing improvement projects, daily airport operations, collecting approved fees, preparing and overseeing airport budgets, preparing and providing reports to the Board as to Airport-related activities and operations.
The BOCC is seeking two (2) members who must be citizens of Wakulla County and shall include the following:
One member, who must possess relevant management experience, to serve an initial term of one year;
One member, who must possess financial, accounting, or budgeting experience, to serve an initial term of two years
Interested persons should submit a cover letter explaining their interest in serving on the Airport Committee and identifying which category the person qualifies for, along with a resume or other statement of relevant experience which includes the person’s name, address, and a contact telephone number no later than Monday, November 28, 2011.
