Narcotics Undercover Arrest in Wakulla

keith ross harrison.gifThe Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit conducted an undercover operation Tuesday, April 27 that resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old Crawfordville man in connection with felony quantities of marijuana and synthetic narcotics, according to Sheriff David Harvey.

Keith Ross Harrison was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, use or display of a firearm during a felony, possession of more than 20 grams of cannabis, possession of more than 10 grams of synthetic narcotics, trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of narcotic equipment.

Wakulla and Leon County Sheriff’s Office investigators took part in the operation and search warrant which was executed at 86 Allen Harvey Road in Crawfordville at 10 a.m.

{sidebar id=1}Two detectives entered the home and arrested Harrison in the kitchen without incident. Inside the home, investigators discovered a female companion and a 19-month-old male child who were not involved in the operation. No one was injured.

Investigators conducted a search of the home and discovered individual bags of marijuana that were ready for sale as well as a scale used to weigh narcotics. The marijuana was weighed at 67.1 grams.

In addition, a box was located in the home that contained 77.8 grams of pills that had been shipped to the suspect from Texas. They were later identified as Vicodin. Numerous weapons and 200 rounds of ammunition were discovered in the home as well as three sets of brass knuckles, a stun device, expandable baton, two containers of pepper spray and a “slap jack.” A Magnum Ruger handgun was also discovered in a Mason jar.

Harrison was taken to the Wakulla County Jail without incident. The case was investigated by detectives in the Criminal Investigations Division as well as the narcotics unit.
