Flags at Half-Mast for September 11 Remembrance
In memory of those who died as a result of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, and in observance of Patriot Day and National Day of Remembrance, the Governor, in accordance with the Proclamation issued by the President of the Untied States on September 10, 2009, has called upon all department agencies and instrumentalities of the United States to display the United States flag at half-staff on September 11, 2009.
In accordance with the President’s Proclamation, the Governor has also asked that a moment of silence be observed beginning at 8:46 a.m. EDT to honor the innocent victims who perished as a result terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
