Single in Wakulla?
The fact is, there are more of us than you think. As a single guy in the Wakulla County Community, I have a difficult time finding potential candidates to date. I don’t think it’s a problem of available singles, I think it’s the lack of ways to meet singles.
Yes, I know about all the options for finding single people such as: local bars, produce aisles, driving to the clubs in Tallahassee, and internet dating sites. But this is not the way I want to meet someone.
Are you nodding in agreement?
A friend of mine and I have been trading some ideas of how we singles can get together in our community. Since we’re both single and we want more from the dating scene, we thought it was time to do something.
For now, we are in the process of looking for input and and ideas from singles in our community who would like to share in informal singles networking. Where would you like to meet? What would you like to do?
The idea we have is simple. We’ll start with single people, the minimum age being 25, and no maximum age. We ask that our singles be “ready” for dating; not married or separated.
An idea of a casual “open air” setting, such as one of our county parks is what we had in mind to begin with. We are very open minded when it comes to the location. A gathering could be a casual picnic with a pot luck style lunch, bring a dish to pass, etc. We like the idea of a no-pressure environment for singles to mingle with each other.
We’d be a “Wakulla Singles Mingle.” Our Mingles would be informal gathering opportunities. Watch for times and locations. We’re not counselors and we’re not a dating service. We’re simply friends offering chances to meet other singles here in Wakulla County.
