Actual Lives Florida 2007: A Writing and Performance Workshop Focusing on Adults with Disabilities
Announces New Performance Workshops
Saturday January 27, 2007 and February 3, 2007
In the wake of 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina many disabled people became concerned with the very real possibility of being left behind in times of crisis. The Actual Lives Project Florida, a writing and performance workshop for adults with disabilities, will be exploring those concerns and others with passion and humor in its next round of workshops.
If you are an adult with a disability and a yen for self expression, we are interested in working with you to develop your stories, poetry, songs, comic skits and personal essays. These workshops will culminate in video taped and live performances. The only requirements for participation are a functional communication system (of any kind), the willingness to share your story, and commitment to the workshop process.
