Crawfordville, Florida – Wakulla Democratic Party member Rachel Pienta announced today that the Wakulla Democratic Executive Committee and the Wakulla Democratic Women’s Club will partner to host Democratic candidates for Congressional District Two on Thursday, February 9th at the Wakulla County Public Library located at 4330 Crawfordville Hwy.
The event will begin at 7 pm with refreshments sponsored by the Wakulla Democratic Women’s Club and a chance to informally meet candidates, followed by the 7:30 pm business meeting. Candidates will be speaking as part of the meeting agenda.
DEC Chair Rachel Pienta, “The race to turn Congressional District Two from ‘Red to Blue’ is beginning to heat up and promises to be an interesting contest from start to finish. We’ve been contacted by the Democratic candidates already competing to be the Democratic nominee as well as one candidate still engaged in a lawsuit to run as a Democrat. Plus, one potential but as yet undeclared candidate has also reached out in advance of announcing to discuss appearing with the current field at our meeting on February 9th.”
Wakulla Democratic Party meetings are free and open to the public. For more information, please contact DEC Chair Rachel Pienta at 850-321-3582 or drpienta@gmail.com.
