"Jenna was born with Tetrology of Fallot and an A-V Canal. After having a Fontan performed (a 3-phase staging palliative surgery) Jenna was still not doing well. Dr. Spencer found Dr. Del Nido in Boston, who would attempt a repair. It worked for Jenna but not without a long and complicated recovery. Her heart is repaired and Jenna has been living an active and wonderful life. We are so thankful to these to people and the many others who believed in Jenna.
"Last year we found many enlarged lymph nodes in Jenna's chest that was caused by a mass found earlier in her mediastinum. She needs these biopsied so we can find out exactly what we are dealing with and she also needs a heart cath. In Tallahassee Dr. St. Petry found that her pulmonary valve conduit, which was placed in 2003, has some significant stenosis. This needs to be fixed at this point. We hope we can get this accomplished in the heart cath lab.
"Jenna is still very strong. She loves life to the fullest and lives way beyond anyone’s expectations. She is a fighter. She is God's special angel. Please pray for Jenna and the wonderful people who will be taking care of her in Boston. We are so lucky that Jenna has had awesome men and women we call doctors here in Tallahassee and Boston. Thank you for your love and support. We couldn't make it without all of you.”
