Update on the Bob Harvey Memorial Scramble-4-Life Golf Tournament
The First Baptist Church of Crawfordville is working in conjunction with the Wakulla Pregnancy Center to host the 1st Annual Bob Harvey Memorial Scramble-4-Life Golf Tournament on Friday, June 1, 2007, at Wildwood Country Club.
"We hope through the efforts of events like the recent Life Walk and this Golf Tournament that awareness of the Center’s need for a building, volunteers, financial, and prayer support will be made known to the community", said event co-chair, Tim Holhouser. To that end, event organizers are seeking support from area residents, businesses, and community organizations to consider monetarily supporting the June 1 event. A variety of sponsorships exist and include one or more of the following options:
· $1001 or more - Platinum Tournament Sponsor
· $501 up to 1000 - Gold Sponsor
· $101 up to 500 - Silver Sponsor
· $100 - Hole Sponsor – up to 3 holes with 2 and 3 hole at $75 each
· Door Prize Sponsor of golf/sports/outdoor related items, gift certificates, etc.
· Goodie Bag Donor – golf tees and balls, sports drink or bottled water, etc.
Each of these donation sponsors will receive the appropriate level of recognition throughout the tournament and at the awards luncheon immediately following the tournament in the Bistro Restaurant. Prizes will be awarded for top 3 teams, long drive contest, and closest to the pin with door prizes being offered during the luncheon. Team registration fees are $500 or individual of $125. Format for this event is four person best ball scramble with check-in at 8:00 a.m. and a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Businesses may also sponsor a team made up of employees and is another option for businesses to consider.
Registration and sponsorship checks can be made payable to “Bob Harvey Scramble” and returned with registration information of team member names to:

"In addition to helping with registration, day of event activities, spreading awareness and promoting the event, we ask everyone for the most important need of prayer support," said Rick Parks. "We need this to be be truly successful and it means so much to our efforts and your kindness is greatly appreciated."
While the center is well established, it is still without a place to open its doors and is in need of finding a location to begin operating and providing these much needed services in Wakulla County. For more information or to register, please contact Rick Parks at reslparks@earthlink.net.
