League of Women Voters at Large from Wakulla County will Host July 20 Political Forum
Written by Anne Ahrendt Thursday, 15 July 2010 14:07
The League of Women Voters Members at Large from Wakulla County in cooperation with the Tallahassee League of Women Voters invite the public to participate in a forum to be held Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 7 pm at the Wakulla County Public Library.
Because there are only Democratic candidates, the primary for this District will be a universal primary and all voters, Democrats, Republicans, NPAs, will be allowed to vote in the primary to choose the new County Commissioner from this district.
The forum will last approximate one and one half hours and consist of four parts:
- A three minute introduction period by the candidates.
- An opportunity to answer 12 questions prepared by members of the League of Women Voters on a variety of topics affecting Wakulla County.
- An opportunity to answer questions submitted by the audience. All candidates have an opportunity to answer the same questions. There will be no questions directed to individual candidates.
- One final question where candidates will have two minutes to prepare their answer and three minutes to respond.
The forum will be moderated by Ms. Meredith Clark, Associate Editor of the Tallahassee Democrat.
Child care will be provided.
