Our sources of energy, food, water and transportation are becoming less sustainable.  The crises are still with us.  Would you like to join with others to help Wakulla County citizens sustain the earth’s limited resources?

This is an invitation to become a member of Sustainable Big Bend, Inc.

Your prior interest in sustainable issues and/or the Green Living Expo indicates that you want to live “green”.  You are invited to join us by returning the Membership Form or by attending one of two meetings on January 13th to enable you to make a better decision about membership.  Membership is open to any person who indicates “a willingness and commitment to work towards increased sustainability in their personal lives and community.”

The meeting times are:

Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon; and

Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Both meetings will be held at the UF/IFAS Wakulla County Extension Office, 84 Cedar Avenue, Crawfordville; (850)926‐3931.

Membership is an opportunity for you to pursue sustainable issues in community with others.  The Sustainable Big Bend Board is ready to describe how we hope to involve various small communities of people throughout the county as we foster sustainable living at the grassroots.  Our expectation is that the Green Living Expo this year will be a scaled-down event celebrating sustainable initiatives throughout the county. There are many organizations and individuals who are actively becoming greener.  Let’s celebrate progress together.
