YMCA Camp Indian Springs will Hold 2nd Annual Y Walk-a-Thon and Bike-a-Thon
YMCA Camp Indian Springs will host their 2nd Annual Y Walk-a-Thon and Bike-a-Thon to support their Kids-to-Camp Campaign on Saturday, April 19, 2008. Whether you participate along the beautiful St Marks Trail or pledge money, your efforts will allow children to attend camp this summer.
Being a participant on the trail consists of registering at the YMCA camp office as soon as possible. Once registered, participants will need to go out and talk to family, friends, and businesses to see if they will support the camp program by making a pledge for every mile you complete, or give a one time donation.
{sidebar id=1}Our Bike-A-Thon is 27 miles long and the Walk-AThon is 5 miles long. The starting point for both walkers and cyclists is at the Woodville Community Center at 8000 Old Woodville Road, between Woodville Highway and the St. Marks Trail. The cyclists will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the walkers will begin at 9:00 a.m. Both cyclists and walkers will end back at the Woodville Community Center. Water stations will be located every two miles on the trail and once the end of the trail has been reached, local Boy Scout Troop #4 will be selling lunch with music and fun accompanied.
Don’t do the trail alone! Get friends and family involved and have them come out and join you. This is not just a fundraiser, this is a family and community event whose goal is to get participants out to enjoy one of Florida’s most beautiful landscapes. Take the time to be with friends and family and support Kids-to-Camp.

8:00 a.m.: Bikers Sign – in and turn in pledge sheets at Woodville Community Center
9:00 a.m.: Walkers Sign – in and turn in pledge sheets at Woodville Community Center
1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Lunch and Activities (Register for camp, Music, Info booths, and more)

Our event will be advertised to 8,000 YMCA members in the Tallahassee and Crawfordville area, as well as over the radio prior to and throughout the event. The event is not just for YMCA members, it is open for all to participate and raise money to support your local Capital Region YMCA. Many of our staff will be onsite throughout the event gaining exposure to your company. Let US help YOU reach our members.
