Wakulla Professional and Business Women's Association will Host "Wild West" Fall Fling Fundraiser
{sidebar id=3}The Wakulla Professional and Business Women’s Association will present its annual fundraiser “Wild West – a Scholarship Benefit”, Friday, October 19, 2007, from 7:00 p.m. until midnight. So get your best jeans, cowboy shirts and hats ready, and mosey on down to the Wakulla County Senior Center for what is sure to be a fun-filled evening. “Annie Oakley” (our own Mina Sutton) from Wakulla Community Theatre’s “Annie Get Your Gun” will make a guest appearance, where she is sure to lasso your heart when she sings for us.
Enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres as you browse our Silent Auction items; the bidding will begin at 7:00 p.m. A wonderful dinner will follow in the banquet room, and a DJ will provide entertainment throughout the night. The decorations will be fabulous as once again our own Carolyn Lambert is preparing wonderful scenery for all to enjoy.
Come out and support this wonderful cause and have a good time, too. The event will be held at the Wakulla Senior Citizens Center Banquet Room at 33 Michael Drive in Crawfordville. Individuals may purchase tickets at $50.00 per person. Table sponsors are $300.00 for a table of six or $400.00 for a table of eight. Tickets may be purchased from Geneva Stokley at 926-3939, Linda Boles at 926-6222, or Cheryll Olah at 926-1681. Seating is limited so guests are encouraged to get tickets early. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
All proceeds go to support the organization’s annual scholarship fund for high school seniors and adult learners returning to school. For the last few years, proceeds from this event have allowed the Wakulla Professional and Business Women’s Association to award $8,000.00 each year in scholarships.
