Ochlockonee River Kennel Club will Host AKC Sanctioned All Breed Show
The Ochlockonee River Kennel Club of Florida, Inc. (ORKC) is sponsoring an American Kennel Club (AKC) sanctioned All Breed Show and Obedience, Rally and Agility Trials from Friday, February 22 through Sunday, February 24, 2008 at the North Florida Fairgrounds, 441 Paul Russell Road, Tallahassee. Show hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day. ORKC has held this event for many years and more than 1300 dogs, with their owners and handlers, are expected to participate.
There are 178 different breeds of dogs represented in the eight breeding groups being shown in Conformation. These groups include Sporting, Hound, Working, Terrier, Toy, Non-sporting, Herding and a miscellaneous class. These same breeds are eligible to compete in the Obedience, Rally and Agility Trials. There will be over 20 different judges traveling from locations all over the United States assigned to judging the different show events. All shows except Agility will be held indoors. Pet supply and food vendors will also be present during the weekend.
