Men's Fraternity of Wakulla Joins Forces with Youth Conservation Center

Men’s Fraternity of Wakulla Joins with Beau Turner Youth Conservation Center

Men’s Fraternity of Wakulla joins with the Beau Turner Youth Conservation Center Open House and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission this Saturday, March 8th, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The Open House is open to everyone interested in outdoor activities with an emphasis on Youth and children of all ages. 

{sidebar id=1}Activities will include:  Fishing and casting challenge, Olympic-style archery, muzzle loading shooting, shotgun shooting, rifle shooting, hunting dog demonstrations, FWC’s law enforcement helicopter and FWC’s K-9 demonstrations.  The first 500 youth will receive a free rod and reel and full tackle box.  Children of all ages can sign-up for spring and summer outdoor skills classes on:  Olympic Archery, Wildlife Viewing/Wildlife Identification, Reading the Woods/Orienteering, Advanced Wing Shooting, Fishing/Casting Skills, Hunter Safety/Advanced Archery, Basic Muzzle Loading and Small Bore Rifle Classes.

Local NFL legend Jack Youngblood of the NFL Hall of Fame and Superbowl MVP will be on hand to share in the excitement.  Door Prizes will be given for those attending.  The Beau Turner Youth Conservation Center will open many exciting opportunities for our youth and children to be involved in with their parents and other local volunteers.

Directions:  Go East on U.S. Hwy 98 from Newport (7.8 miles)  to Hwy 59 (Jefferson County); turn North on Hwy 59 (13 miles) to Wacissa; turn left (remaining on Hwy 59) to CR 259, then (5.1 miles) to US 27; turn south on US 27 (2.5 miles) to US Hwy 19 (at Capps); turn North and go approximately 1/3rd of a mile; look for the large green sign, barn and two dog statues on your left.
