Girl Scouts Extend Annual Cookie Sales
The Girl Scout Council of the Apalachee Bend, Inc. announced they will extend their annual cookie sales program by two weeks, ending March 23. Cookies can be obtained from booth sales at locations throughout the community, from your favorite Girl Scout, or by calling the Council Office Toll Free at 1-800-876-9704. Cookies are $3.50 per box.
“The decision to extend our cookie selling dates is in direct response to the demand for cookies,” stated Audrey Moore, Council Product Manager. “This is a great opportunity for our loyal supporters to purchase additional cookies.”
{sidebar id=1}This year’s program includes two new cookies: Chocolate Chips and Lemon Chalet Cremes. The sugar free chocolate chip cookies, which contain real milk chocolate chips, are made with Splenda® and have zero grams trans fat per serving. This great-tasting snack is provided in response to requests received by the hundreds of thousands of Girl Scouts who visit with consumers each year during the Girl Scout Cookie Season.
The Lemon Chalet Cremes are also in response to customer requests for an indulgent treat that is unique to Girl Scouts. This luscious lemon sandwich cookie boasts a hint of cinnamon-ginger spice and contains zero grams trans fat per serving. Additionally, All Abouts will carry new leadership messages this year that reflect the message of Girl Scouting’s continuing commitment to build girls of Courage, Character and Confidence. This is accomplished through programming that encourages them to “Discover, connect and take action to make the world a better place.” These three cookies join the line-up of star studded regulars: Thin Mint, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-Si-Dos and Trefoils.
