Big Bend Hospice Will Host Clergy Appreciation Luncheon
{sidebar id=3}On September 18, 2008 Big Bend Hospice will host Wakulla County clergy at a luncheon at the Wildwood Clubhouse Bistro, 3870 Coastal Highway in Crawfordville, FL from 11:30 – 1:00 PM.
2008 marks the 25th year that Big Bend Hospice has been caring for patients and families in Wakulla County. Big Bend Hospice realizes the tremendous role that the spiritual care community has played in helping them help those who struggle with a life limiting illness. In order to show their appreciation they are hosting a luncheon to thank area spiritual leaders for their support.
This gathering is designed to provide a time for fellowship and discussion on ways area clergy and Big Bend Hospice can continue to work together to care for this community. Clergy members will learn more about the spiritual care programs at Big Bend Hospice, how free grief support services can be provided at individual churches and how congregations can receive volunteer training so that members of their congregation can volunteer to care for other members of their church or temple who are critically ill.
This event will be hosted by the Wakulla County Advisory Council. Clergy members are asked to RSVP to Pam Raker Allbritton at 508-8749.
