Lung Disease Support Group will Meet in Wakulla County

Lung disease is the third leading cause of death in America and is a challenge for many American’s living every day with impaired lung function. Become part of a sharing, caring group that seeks solutions to living with lung disease.  The American Lung Association of Florida, Big Bend Region would like to invite you to attend the Wakulla County Better Breathers Club on August 15, 2007 from 1:00-2:00 at the Wakulla County Senior Citizens Center. The Better Breathers group provides an opportunity for people to meet on a monthly basis and learn about their lung condition from concerned health care professionals and other lung disease patients, family, and friends.

{sidebar id=1}Sandy Tobe, a long time member of the Better Breathers Club in Tallahassee, says that the Better Breathers Club is great for anyone struggling to breathe because of impaired lungs. She has benefited greatly from the support that the Better Breathers Club is able to provide and encourages any adults with lung disease or lung health issues to attend.

Ms. Tobe says that the meetings are “very informal, so you don’t have to be scared. You learn a lot from the guest speakers and from each other.  The meetings are always informative, and they give us positive things we can do to help ourselves not have to work so hard to have good quality of life.”
