A Saddle Up for St. Jude event benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Alford Arm Park on Pedrick Road in Tallahassee, Florida. The Volunteer Coordinator for this event is Wakulla 4-H Horsemasters, who encourages everyone to participate.
By participating in or attending the event, you will help raise funds for the world’s premier pediatric cancer research center. These funds will help St. Jude in its ongoing fight against childhood cancer and other catastrophic diseases.
Wakulla 4-H Horsemasters are collecting donations from sponsors and urge area citizens to sign up. All area riders are invited to join the ride and bring friends and family.
{sidebar id=1}Our goal in holding this event is to help the children of the world who are stricken with diseases like cancer, AIDS, sickle cell disease and other catastrophic illnesses. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a world leader in the fight against these diseases, and they have made great progress because of the help of people who participate in and donate to events like Saddle Up for St. Jude.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas and based in Memphis, Tenn., St. Jude freely shares its discoveries with scientific and medical communities around the world. No family ever pays for treatments not covered by insurance, and families without insurance are never asked to pay. St. Jude is financially supported by ALSAC, its fundraising organization, through events such as Saddle Up for St. Jude. For more information, please visit www.stjude.org .
If you are interested in participating or making a donation, please call Tracie 850/926-7985.
