Curious Volunteers Needed for National Geographic-Funded Archaelogical Project at Wakulla Springs

National Geographic-Funded Archaeological Project at Wakulla Springs during April Needs Volunteers

arrowhead 75.gifThree types of volunteers can participate in an exciting archaeological project near the Wakulla Springs Lodge.  If you are available between April 7 and May 5, 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily (except Sunday) you can participate in the project. 

What is the project?  To determine the age of early Paleoindian material (earlier than 13,000 years ago). 

Who is needed: 

A)  Field crew excavation team (sift sediments, recover specimens,label specimens, etc.).  Total volunteers needed:  8 each day (2 per screening station)

B)  Field data recording team:  Illustrators, photographers,data entry

C)  Docents/Public Relations
